Macalester moved up two spots at MIAC meet, placing sixth out of 11 teams Saturday at the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) Championships at Como Park Golf Course in St. Paul.

Kimber Meyer ran to a fourth-place individual finish in the 6000-meter race to lead Macalester to a fourth-place team finish at the MIAC Championships at Como Park Golf Course. This is Macalester's best conference finish since 1999.

For her outstanding performance last weekend at the Tori Neubauer Invitational, Macalester's Kimber Meyer has been chosen as Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) women's cross country Athlete of the Week.

Macalester had its final prep race for the Nov. 2 conference meet the Wisconsin-La Crosse Tori Neubauer Invitational in West Salem, Wis., and placed 14th out of 32 teams. This event featured several of the nation's top-ranked teams and 471 individuals.
